Lower on the mountain, clearly a bit more body in the wine as compared to the other ridge Chardonnays. Minerality and creamy brioche on the nose. Tropical fruit and slight Fuji apple. Give it two years
Medium yellow color. Aromas of pear, vanilla, lemon, and toasted nuts. Palate has pear, nutmeg, vanilla, and hints of lemon with a medium finish. Solid, but not as good as the 2008 was and seemingly lacking in acidity to carry it into further development. Drink.
Medium yellow color with hints of green. Aromas of vanilla, nutmeg, apple, pear, and flowers. Palate has pear, melon, nutmeg, and vanilla notes. This lacks the tropical brightness that the 2008 had and is less to my liking. Solid and likely to hold in the bottle for a few years. I'm not sure about development upside. Drink.
