Final bottle from a case purchased in 2009 at Christie’s in Amsterdam. Pristine - perfect level, label and cork. A wonderfully harmonious Chambolle, elegant and refined, silky and supple, with a lovely 2002-freshness and vestiges of tannic grip, marries soft fruit and flowers with tertiary, nutty complexity, finishes with dried fruit, very good length. Completely ready, drink up.

Very similar to my previous note - perhaps just a little bit more evolution than the bottle in May 2016 and perhaps slightly less precise in the fruit definition, but certainly in fine fettle. Mature but fresh, silky and charming, with only residual phenolic grip, gentle and elegant, with a long and complex finish displaying a lovely, youthful floral note. Delicious and completely ready.

Still going strong. Very typical for vintage and village. Fresh, cool and mineral, violets and roses, silky and seamless, pure and bright, spiced strawberries and peaches, only a hint of evolution (fresh nuts, sous-bois), light bitters provide grip, slender and transparent, linear, black tea finish, good length. Light but expressive. I repeat my advice: do not not wait too long.

Better than the two bottles tasted in September and November 2013. This one is fresher and more energetic, with a lovely Chambolle character of silk-and-minerals, a good but not rich core of red fruit, an expressive floral note and bright 2002-acidity, lovely balance and sufficient tannic grip, elegant in spite of a certain stalkiness, a transparent and linear wine, good length. Very good but slightly drying on the finish. Do not wait too long.

VinoLaprisco Tasting (Restaurant De Karpendonkse Hoeve *, Eindhoven, Netherlands): Finesse, elegance, silk, classic style, fresh, resolved tannins, excellent mature Chambolle.
