  200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Dense lots of dry extract, demanding, dark fruit, tannins grippy, wow, serious extraction here but it works, lots of aromatic concentration and depth, masculine.

  At the domaine.Very open nose of sweet red and black fruit,lots of spices,slightly floral,earthy,with smoke ... wow ! Very elegantly textured,refined and complex,its not very powerful and lacks just a tiny bit of intensity and length .... but nevertheless,very nice,and drinking beautifully right now.... To be honest I expected much more given its pedigree (and price!)

  Mineral, red fruit, chalk. Doesn't have the lushness I get from many 2000 Red Burg GC's. Young, but I don't see this wine becoming worthy of its reputation. Reminded me quite a lot of Vosne 1ers -- which I like very much, and are a fraction of the price. I hope I'm wrong on this one, but at the moment seems like a good wine that will never be great.
