Surprisingly approachable now. Very fruit forward (dark cherry and raspberry notes) and tannins are more silky than expected. Paired nicely with pappardelle con salsiccia e funghi. Good value at $30 and satisfying, but would love to see a tad more complexity here.
This had more of the floral notes that I like about Nebbiolo than most Barolos, and less of the savory (olive & raw meat). I wasn't prepared to like it as much as I did. Drinking fine now; Might go with 1-2y more in the cellar.
though this has some new world characteristics there remains enough earth and tannins to remind us of its italian roots the cherry and earth combination reminds me of a good village burgundy this is well integrated ,especially the second day I don't think this will get any better so my advice is drink up
