  • PnP - Mondavi Bordeaux glass over 4 hours
In a stellar place! Aromatically complex, resolved tannins just showing on the tail, acid throughout, barely ripe blue and black fruits with plenty of herbal and spice accompaniment.
Took 15 years to get here, but man, oh man, these wines are made for aging!
    Cheers to Sylvain Fadot!

  • More wonderful than the bottle I had in December. Firm flavors and very juicy, no signs of rustic in this bottle, it could go a few more years but there is only one more in the cellar after this.

  • Still quite sound and delicious, but this is a drink now warning at there is a hint of age creeping in, I am marking the rest for drinking this winter.

  • Nice elegant & feminine wine; a real crowd pleaser; medium to deep garnet color; elegant red/black fruits with spicy hints; medium weight wine with nice acidity to keep it from being boring; light tannins on this bottle. Brought to restaurant and had with salmon. Delish!

  • I've always liked this Domaine's wines as there is an elegance to them that is not always found in the Languedoc. This one doesn't disappoint although I have had better vintages. Colour is typically deep with a nose of dark red fruits and blackcurrant combined with that South of France aroma of spice. On the palate it is medium full with just enough acidity to lift it out of becoming rustic and heavy and there is reasonable length to the finish. This example though still retained a hint of bitterness as the tannins are not fully integrated and it would really benefit from another couple of years cellaring, by which time this bitterness will hopefully have disappeared. Good but not great. Estimated maturity: 2015+
