ABV 15.2; deep earth and barrel nose; dirt, deep primary mixed dark fruit with some sweetness as well, prominent tannins; big and primary with good typicity; didn't really notice any heat; i liked it, but marilyn likened it to a barrel sample. worked with pizza but didn't really complement the food; ultimately polished off with cheese and nuts; seems to need plenty of time.
Ugg. All tanins, little fruit left. Not sure why I am in such disagreement with community, but my bottle was poor. Not corked. Maybe it will tenderize some steaks. Don't want to dilute point avg, so only posting note. Usually very happy with Ridge wines.
