  • great structure and acidity. the proximity to Perrieres is expressed well in the wine's minerality.

  • During a tasting dinner. This one showed really well. Nose of oak, citrus zest, fresh and creamy at the same time. 94+

  • Took to a wine dinner and it was remarkable how similar this and a 2010 Aubert Chard were, both of which were outstanding. Amazingly fresh with not a trace of oxization, premature or otherwise, but no reductive quality either. Perhaps a bit more Puligny-esque than typical Meursault as this was minerally with spice inflections and tropical nuances rather than big richness. So focused, and wonderfully refined. Geez, an intellectual Meursault. Fabulous, and astounding for the age and tariff.

  • Shows some color on opening, and the nose is just a touch worrying, but with air this lightens a touch and becomes a beautiful wine, maybe a bit toasty on the nose, while the palate is nicely rich, with medium intensity, beautiful acidity and overall balance. Not overly complex, but quite delicious.

  • Delicious, dense, and chalky young with a power nose of wet concrete, oak, yellow fruits, stone and a whiff of kerosene. Palate has a nutty/hazlenut base, tangerine/lemon and barely ripe pear at the front and more bitter/grapefruit and with a whiplash of oak spice at the back. Got a little coconut oil/tropical thing as it warmed in the glass as well, but still spicy and taut overall yet drinkable and tasty. Equal or better than the 06 and 04 renditions of this wine, this could be spectacular 2015-2020, some will mind the oak and the compact structure in the meantime, but I was more focused on the minerality and fruit. Extensive aeration didn't change the wine that much. Will be hard to hold given the QPR. Wish I had more.
