At the Summer Lodge Hotel, Dorset. Nose was very green and unripe - dominated the other scents. Thankfully a better flavour and in good condition. Clearly a difficult vintage some Chambolle perfume trying to show through but muted fruit and a hint of unripeness present. Some tannin still - OK but only just.

(Domaine Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras) Tart red fruit, herbal, mineral nose; tightish, tart red fruit, mineral palate; medium-plus finish 91+ pts.
(Barthod Ghislaine Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras) A little oak then tight red fruit at the base. Rather bigger in the mouth than the Thierry Mortet, with lots of tannin but more than enough dimension to match. This is rather good.

Sous bois and mice Chambolle perfume initially, but it's somewhat angular and lean on the palate. Rustic. Not great.
