  Superb. Blueberry jam, violets hint of vetiver in the nose. Unctuous mouth feel. Ready to drink, but should be able to laat 3 to 5 years. God I wish I had more bottles.

  Annual Pilgrimage to Piedmont - 2021 Edition; 10/8/2021-10/10/2021 (Piemonte, Italy): We are not amarone people and also this followed a lineup of superb wines and in the footsteps of 2005 Monfortino ( Papies 94) . And it shown its way to the wine of the trip level.
  Big and powerful with17.5% alc but also a magnificently elegant and balanced wine with a nose to put grand cru burgundy to shame and near perfect palate. We can go on and on here but frankly well matured bottles of this ( ours was sourced by the impeccable cellar of La Ciau del Tornavento) should be hunted down, with a a passion. 97+

  Massive. 3 hours in decanter started to reveal violets along with dark and damp earth notes. Seriously contemaplative wine. Alcohol is a bit pronounced. Wait at least 5 yrs for next bottle. Absolutely singing the next night after vacuvin. Violets, patchouli just amazing.

  Beautiful wine. Perfectly balanced. Good fruit, soft tannins and enough acidity to keep fresh. Long, long on the finish.
