  Consistent, dependable quality. Great wine from a difficult year. Ready to drink, but good for at least 2 more years.

  I remember drawing a parallel between this wine and the Lancaster Estate enjoyed alongside it (which was also a 2008). I want to give a slight edge to the Lancaster Estate for its robust body. This wine was fruit forward, lots of blackberry and fig, black licorice and a hint of plum. The middle is where the herbal side of things started to come out, but just seemed a little more unidimensional than the Lancaster. This wine was still very good, and I'd easily give it a 92. The fruit in this wine is still rather present. Zero Defects!! This bottle still has another 5 years to 10 years easy.
