Christmas Day wine. Purchased on release, probably from Premier Cru. Only bottle. Perfect in every way. Deep haunting Pinot. Once a decade Pinot. What can I say other than ‘we only have this one honey...’ LOL! If I’d have seen what they are selling for prior to opening, it might have been tough to open.

The token Leroy powerful nose of spice, flowers and red fruit along with ferrous notes. The palate matched and at first was quite thin, but gained weight with about and hour in the glass. Bright fruit. Racy. Kept improving. Remarkable for a village wine.

Dark red color, took an hour to open up when it does what a deep floral nose! Also some coal tar, spices, ripe plum and mint. Very ripe palate with hints of tea, and long finish. Exceptional for its level and will be even better in a few years when the fruit is more subdued.

Super awesome Leroy nose with loads of spice and wild red fruit. Excellent mid palate. Funny celery note on the finish.

Lush, opulent fruit with great length. Fruit is quite sweet and dense. Punching way above its weight class. B+
