A tasty wine, although perhaps a touch less evolved than prior bottles. Red fruit, spice, herbs, a bit of tar, some tannins and less earth than the other bottles. Delicious on its own and Donna's grilled Atlantic salmon, but just a touch overpowered by the aged German riesling. (Surprisingly). A great wine for $21 (on close-out). Drink now or perhaps hold

This was Jen's favorite wine of the night. Great red fruit, spice, tar, some earth and some herbs. A great pairing with the grilled chicken kebabs, the beef and the vegetables. A 2009 pinot showing a pointe tonight.

Red fruit, spice and a few herbs. Very good with our roasted duck. With Janet and Craig in Kingston. This was our last bottle, I think. Drink now.

Much better than the last bottle. Dark red fruit, spice, tar. Best with Donna's beef burgundy.
