La Las Dinner: Arguably the WOTN. Elegant and feminine. Incredibly approachable right now, as opposed to it's sister 1995 La Landonne which needed some more time in the bottle. In my mind, this wine is everything that a great cote-rotie should be. I was fighting myself on a 99 or 100 score, but ultimately just have a hard time giving anything 100.
Stunning wine. Big, powerful, long, but also very well balanced and very drinkable now. Smoke, bacon, tar, all classic Mouline Charcteristics. Served with simple meal of Jimmy P's bacon/cheddar Kobe burgers and a bean mix prepared with bacon. Classic match!
