Gifted to Jay W. Was fortunate to be invited to share. Drinking great, still plenty of fruit, just a bit of acidity, silky mouth feel. Rushed home and was pleased to find one more bottle in the cellar. Looking forward to it. Peeking now.
Impromptu french theme dinner. Enjoyed 2003 Haut-Brion, Mouton Rothschild and Lafite Rothschild and d Yquem. All concurred elegance of reds ranked in order provided with Lafite being far superior. Finished the night following dessert with the Profile. This beauty stood tall right along side these first growths. Very elegant in its own with slightly more fruit up front. Profile is aging perfectly, but I'm not sure it will improve with more years. It certainly will last several years or more.
A very mellow nose with a mix of ripe fruit and aged accents. There is something unmistakably Napa about this wine. The mouth feel is not overbearing and the finish is very long. The wine is in an incredibly balanced stage right now. Fruit, oak, tannin, and the start of bottle aged flavors are blending to make a very complex palate. For my taste this wine is in it's sweet spot and should be consumed now. Very Highly Recommended.
