- Garnet color with a medium finish - Has structure that has stood the test of time. Tannins acid and bright fruit come together into one of the best Caymus wines that I have had in years. Obvious bell pepper and anise are complemented by cedar, graphite (no 2 pencil) and coriander. I think that this wine has peaked and I wish I had more.
This bottle was showing significant signs of premature aging the cork was intact, though a bit soft. Quite a disappointment, compared to other bottles. Two remain in the cellar. Will be interesting to see how they fare.
