Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 92 points

  • AP 01 92 - Auction bottling. Wow! Vibrant, light lemon yellow - this looks like a 5 year old spatlese. Explosive nose of chamomille, lemon zest, musk melon, lime, brown sugar, baking spices - unfolding in varying waves over the first hour. The palate is potent in its punchy, slightly sweet white and yellow fruit, beautifully nuanced layering, with a brilliant bracing and balancing acidity. Great from attack, through the mid-palate and into the long, mouthwatering finish. This is first rate, but starts to lose some of its punch at the 30min mark, with no additional build to complexity. If you're a lucky owner, have at it and enjoy. 92 pts pure quality, with additional personal pleasure points for its age, grace and style. A Vanessa Redgrave of a wine.
