Slightly more open than the 2010 Giscours on the nose, showing more floral notes and more fruit. Grippy tannins on the palate, spicy, fresh, long. maybe not quite as complex. Should be approachable soon. 91-92+
Beautiful wine now. I read somewhere a reviewer describing a raspberry ripple flavour and they weren't wrong. A few hours in decanter and drank really well, tannins already being tamed. Will be even better in 4 to 5 years
Bordeaux 2009 vs. 2010 - check in on 10 High Performers: Tasted during a Wine Advocat event - A matter of taste. Nose of spices, red fruit and minerals. Medium bodied with a lightness of CabFanc, aromatic at the same time. This is much more serious than the 2009, with more depth too.

(Château du Tertre) Opaque red violet color; tart red currant, menthol nose; tasty, tart red currant, menthol palate; medium-plus finish 91+ points (70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot)
(Chateau du Tertre (Margaux)) The assemblage in this sample is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and a rather impressive 10% Petit Verdot. It is a wine with a really glossy, dark plum character. It has a lovely fruit presence on the nose, really sweet and appealing, although it is just polished fruit rather than anything perfumed. There is perhaps a hint of gravel on a second look. The style on the palate is rather bold and upright, the acidity really quite striking, the tannins a touch chewy, and although the fruit within it all has an appealing freshness it does struggle to get out somewhat. It is firm but not barn-door overdone. An attractive wine, but not one necessarily very representative of the commune.
