tasted blind. dark burgundy color. Nose lightly musty, pronounced pencil shavings/graphite flavor, some red fruits with time. Palate silky, nice red fruits with good concentration, high acidity. The palate was more enjoyable than the nose but overall pretty classic for the varietal; some of us were batting around the idea of Bordeaux but it seemed too resolved yet preserved for that. Fascinating. 92 pts
