250 cases made, brought from the estate. 14.5%. Decanted notes after about an hour. Lovely bright red colour with only a slight bricking at the rim. Strong legs. Baked strawberry tart with a hint of vanilla and spice on the nose. Cranberry and cherry palate, a wave of lovely acidity sweeps the mouth clean through a nice long finish. This will stay on the plateau for a good few more years yet

With lasagna. Good combo as the wine has enough body to stand up. Very nice aged color (some bricking). Good nose of balanced fruit and spices. On the palate it stayed a bit hot during the evening but the fruir and finish were good. Fun to drink these with age on them. Good wines but even at club prices the QPR is a bit iffy on the whole portfolio of HC.

Seemed a bit overly-extracted, not something I usually associate with Hartford or a west Sonoma wine. Jammy, spicy, not well-focused, not the usual acidic lift. Maybe the bottle's a bit tired or perhaps it's me this evening. As a couple of other trackers noted, perhaps this bottle was revealing a bit too much oak in its middle age.
