Very nice bottle of Gruner. Still very fresh with decent acidity and nice medium body. Lemon and stones for days. Also not giving me a headache because it's 11.5% abv.

Fresh and clean, the bottle age adds complexity.Mineral and peppery at one point then honeyed fruit opens, evolving in the glass in very interesting manner.

Bernhard Ott Wine Dinner: At 11.5% alcohol this is perfectly balanced and expressive, with lovely herbal, citrus rind, and stone flavors. At times I get hints of something like sour cream in this wine. It is in a wonderful spot for drinking right now, harmonious and feathery in texture and just delicious.

Bright, feels sparkling but not like bubbly connected. citrus. Dry and fruity, but not sweet. Drank with homemade pickled cucumber, vinegar, sugar and went well.

Bought this after Jon Bonne highlighted it as a 20 under $20 choice. Unfortunately after I opened it my wife finished it off before I had any formal notes. My recollection was that it was easy going, flinty and enjoyable. Perhaps another is in order...
