  • Clear, medium gold, a little watery at the rim. Clean nose, medium(+) intensity, honey, floral notes (rose?), some exotic fruits (lychee), hints of peach and cloves. Palate: medium-sweet, medium(-) acidity, medium alcohol, medium(+) body quite full, medium(+) flavours, similar.to the nose, medium finish. Good quality, however acidity is only just offsetting the sweetness, and there's a danger of this going a bit flabby.

  • golden colour, a little watery at the rim. Classic Gewurtztraminer on the nose, honey, floral notes (rose?), some exotic fruits (lychee), hints of peach and cloves. Very full in the mouth, long finish. Has definitely got sweeter since last tasting, and acid backbone is perhaps less strong. Actually somewhat overpowering for the smoked salmon that I paired it with. Overall, an improvement, but probably drink in next 12-18 months.
