First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): Medium minus intensity aromas of biscuit, lemon, a little apple, slight cherry. In the mouth yeast autolysis, textured grip is chalky, mousse is softly engaging, the fruit plays second fiddle, alcohol lends a little white pepper. Interersting.

Peristent bead of fine bubbles with aromas of orchard fruit, toast, citrus and minerals. Definitely seemed to be Pinot dominated with a richness and slight roundness to it but with good balancing acidity. Nothing exceptional, but well made and quite enjoyable.

Rich and intense, this Champagne veers towards power over elegance. A relatively large and slow bead dissolves quickly. Generously flavored, with yellow apple, pear, caramel, and toast flavors that coat the mouth and go down easy. Soft, round, and broad, this could be mistaken for a high quality new world sparkler.

A hidden gem amongst the growing world of grower champagnes. Very well balanced between fruit, mineral and yeast
