The bottle was stored in the refrigerator the last two days, and opened to reflect back on 71 years of memories. Not quite as vibrant and floral as when first opened. Nose of orange, honey, raisin bread, and coco, paired with chocolate, same on the palate, big body, less intense, almost as rich, still elegant, less mouth filling, delicious tasting, and a long, long, flavorful finish of thirty seconds.

Bordeaux Birthday Dinner with 1978 Chateau Margaux, 1982 La Tour Haut Brion, and 1983 Chateau Gruaud Larose, dessert featured this wine with orange cheesecake, with freshly sliced strawberries and fresh blueberries spooned on top, nose of orange, mango, honey, baked raisin bread, and Bual Madeira, same on the palate, big body, intense, rich, elegant, mouth filling, seventy-one years old and going strong, just fabulous, lovely and delicious, long, long, long, long finish of sixty seconds.

Beautiful burnt almond colour. Honey, caramel, coffee, chocolate, dried figs, gorgeous balanced acidity and sweet fruit. This will last a very, very long time. Stunning wine.
