Apparently the brewery has pulled these from stores in a recall. I opened another one with date code 2/11/11. Some have talked about theirs having a strong banana character as a flaw. It was much bigger and fuller than my first go around a few months back. Kind of a basic Belgian style ale but not remarkable. There was a little bit of the banana character towards the finish. Not sure what to make of it entirely as it just didn't seem very interesting but not hugely flawed.

There is a strong sense of the 20% wine barrel aged addition showing up on the nose. A fine note of brett seems to peak through with air, just enough to add complexity rather than overwhelming the palate. Nicely complex with a stronger sour presence than the 2010 had.
