dusty cherry over strawberry, leather and spice, dense nose - weighty and concentrated with some cedar notes on agitation. In the mouth the wine is warm, but tart, cherry and spice, oak and big and boisterous. Hmmph.
Portuguese Reds (Sydney): Colour: Medium ruby Nose: medium intensity aromas of cream, red berry and cherry, slight leather, vanilla Mouth: Medium plus alcohol, tannin and body, concentrated red berry and cherry, leather and chewy tannin
Not sure what to think of it. First time with these varieties. Nose was nice slight vanilla/cedar and big jammy berry. Palate was either tight or too muted for my taste buds. Something interesting there but couldn't imagine it. I'd give it another try.
