  Lovely depth and grip, with some signs of tiring (probably from fatty fruit). Typical cassis, stewed cherry, black plums and a touch of holiday spice. Ready, ready. DRINK

  Blackberry, cassis and dark cherry on the palate. Secondary notes of earth and dried herbs. Upon opening, this was a bit tannic and harsh. Really smoothed out and became much more integrated the next day. Medium bodied, a bit lighter than I expected but still balanced and nicely structured.

  Well stored bottles should be fine to drink or hold as this showed well with a short decant. Nice wine. Not a block buster. This was more of a heavy weight wine that’s aging gracefully. Not a wine of refinement. Typical mountain fruit.

  Dark fruit on the nose, sweet Napa flavors of cassis and eucalyptus on the palate, nicely balanced mid weight structure with silky tannins, slightly bitter medium finish. It did not excite, but was rather pleasant. I expected more secondary flavors and less fruit, so I will wait to open other bottles.
