This vintage is often overlooked being between 07 and 09. Although generally a softer vintage, there are exceptions like this. Trefethen has always made a style higher in acid and more conducive to aging and this is no exception. 10 years old and the real character is just starting to show itself. Dried Dark plum, cigar wrapper and sweetness are coming but not there yet. Plan to drink my other bottle 2022-2030

Tasting at Trefethen. Wow, the tannins on this one are overpowering. Tons of flavor but needs much more time in the bottle to mellow out. Maybe more drinkable in 2015 or so.

Tasted fine in the tasting room, but @ home with 2 hour decant still completely green and vegetal. By the end of the night, starting to drink more like classic vintages. Popped too young to rate accurately.

(August 2017) Aging quite well. Still has quite a bit of fruit and tannins. Easily drinkable for the next 5+ years.
