Opened to cook with and pair with a Mustard Salmon with Cannellini Bean Ragu, from the FoodandWine.com website. Seemingly past everyone's drink by date, but so what? A very pale yellow in the glass, with more sheets than legs (if you're into that). The middling nose features Meyer lemon, golden delicious apple with a few green apple skins. Medium-bodied, with hint of spice and slate joining the notes on the nose. Barely enough acidity, this was probably better in its youth, but still enjoyable and stands up to the dinner fine.

Very smooth and easy to drink. Nose, crisp fruit. Mouth feel, silky. Taste, apples and some mineral; not sure what else. We like the slight angularity, which is different from an oak chard.

Very light colored in the glass. Getting some honey melons and green apples on the nose; sweeter on the nose than what I am used to. Light and crisp on the palate where there are more green apples and limes. I think this actually makes a good summer wine to drink on the deck; unfortunately, my deck is covered with frost as I write this.

Jersey Girls Road Trip - A Story by the Chauffeur; 4/27/2012-5/2/2012 (Solvang, CA): Ordered with the mussels appetizer and everyone really enjoyed this bottle. The unoaked style is the way to go for chardonnay, there is a brightness and a razor edge not typically in oaken California chardonnays. Lighter in color, full fruit aroma with medium/+ mineral presence. Nice clip at the ending.
