Broke the golden rule and decided to pair this with Xmas turkey dinner. Incredible rich, ripe red fruits, big and bold. Lots of life left in this, great acidity that cut through the gravy and a long, warm finish.

This grew in favour as it sat in the glass. Double decant and the musty, almost Brett nose blew off. What followed over a few hours was a brilliant evolution, first the fruit came in, then the cigar box and coffee towards the end of the evening. The wine has a great finish, well balanced with silky tannins. Yum.

It wasn't a bottle issue. (from my last TN). This bottle also wasn't great as previous examples. Definitely not improving and going down hill - which is not the longevity that other Commands have had. Still a mildly good wine, with good fruit and little structure. It seems disconnected and not homogeneous. I hope my later vintage bottles pick up the quality of older vintages.

Sadly this wasn’t showing all it could be, little bit of wet hair about about it, suspect a little bit of Brett here.
