  Liked this a lot. Had enough spice and tannin to stand up well to spicy food.

  Rich and opulent, while managing to preserve the essential characteristics of pinot. Deeply aromatic, with juicy blackberry, cocoa, cedar, tobacco and damp earth. Hefty presence on the palate with noticeable residual sugar up front, but it stops well short of being jammy. Kept in balance with a pleasing tart-cherry finish and rounded, well-integrated tannins.

  Straight from the winery, this was a great bottle, rasberry and dark fruit, with a strong note of pencil lead. Very comparable to Domaine Carneros with a little more toastiness but the same fruitiness.
