1999 Red Burgundy with Richard Brazier (Handford Wines, London): Light on the nose, almost no nose at all. Quite vibrant to start with on the palate, good tannin and acidity but does come with a few rough edges. Felt a touch tried and even a touch dry on the finish. Def not expected this. 89 not sure if time will make it better,
Similar in colour, slightly more complex nose compared to Boillot's Jarollieres. On the palate a bit more weight and texture, firmer tannins and a bit more backward. Good balance and structure. Nice finish. Drink or keep. 89-91
I Ike the sous bois nose here. Good depth of aged Pinot, decaying earthn nose. Palate shows tar cherry and sof, round tannins. Not much structure left, lacks some power to the palate. Good drink, if unremarkable.
Nice Burgundy at peak, The exact amount of red fruit, soft body there roundness no harsh tannins or acids but this silky body with enough left spine and structure to make it delicious. a very long after taste
