£15 doesn't get you much wine from Burgundy and thus it came to pass. Light, tannic - after sometime in the glass there is aniseed, cherries and tarte red fruit. Young, of course, but doesn't have the stuffing to provide anything other than simple quaffing.
Edit: 24 hours later this has not lost its tannins but there is much more character on the nose with fennel and very crisp fruit. I think the nose is quite alluring but the palate is somewhat thin and gruelling.
