The color is deep and dense lemon gold. The smells are quite aromatic and are like salty lemon, wet stones, and citrus peel. The tastes are grassy, clove, lime peel, buttery notes, grapefruit and flower petals. The acidity is notable. The finish is extraordinarily long and just lingers. This seems to have a little weight which I really did not expect. This is a very interesting and complex wine that exceeded expectations.
Light golden color. Nose seriously opens with flint, limestone and all sorts of minerals over a whiff of apple. Very complex with so many flavors that include minerals (flint, limestone even saline), lime, tart green apple, and unripened peach. The finish leaves you feeling like you are sucking on a lemon or lime that grew in a highly mineral based soil. A smart, well balanced and complex wine not for the beginner. They might not get it. I will certainly pick up more. Day 2 - lost its nose and some of it's flavor.
