  • Very nice classic St Joseph. Nose a bit alcoholly with fruity undertones. This Syrah has such a smooth finish and rounded texture. Should improve for at least 2 to 3 years. Nice with roasted meats or strong cheese. Suggest a decant for optimal experience

  • Medium red, nose of blackberries, plums, earth, and black olives. Fairly balanced, but ends with a bit of tartness. Short finish.

  • Happy Hour at Cork in Chandler, AZ. Round and meaty in texture with smooth tannins. The earthiness hits you first with a slight barnyard smell followed by flavors of mushroom, crushed rock and leather. In the background remains some subdued dark cherry and spice. Very enjoyable and a good value for those that prefer the old world style. My wife, who really prefers the old world style over new world, had this rated in the high 90s and immediately wanted to find where we could by a case. It went great with the braised short rib sandwich.

  • Second bottle was served too cold (my fault), threw off tons of sediment. Disappointing overall since I recalled the first bottle had an excellent peppery meaty nose and this was subdued and less interesting, no doubt due partially to temperatire. Very ripe, pleasant overall, still some pepper on the palate, but short finish and not that interesting. Too bad.

  • No formal note taken. Excellent nose, very ripe, ready to go.
