  • Pale translucent red, nose of mushrooms, forest floor and spice. Lovely palate.

  • From memory. Clear and bright, with some lightly bricked edges. The nose showed maturity, more savory and less fruity than younger LdH, old leather and some smoke. The palate however seemed more youthful, fresh reddish flavors pleasantly mellowed. Delicious with sous vide ribeye roast.

  • Medium burgundy with clear meniscus. Fresh nose of blackberry, ripe plum, old leather, and autumn forest. The palate is beautifully balanced, tart black fruits, soft tannins and acids, and a bare hint of oak. The finish nicely reflects the palate, just fading after about 12 seconds. The texture suggests its Bordeaux viticulture roots, the tempranillo seeming brighter than most merlot blends, softer than CS or CF based wines, terrific with rack of lamb.
