If you have not had a 25 year old Chambertin from "the" wine maker, you will get most of the experience with this wine. Excellent nose, fruit and syrup mouth feel all combine to make a delicious treat. Maybe better with time, or just to modern for a improvements.
Once again, this defies expectations for 2003. It's on the ripe side but not in any way that would make you think it's from 2003 - aromas are fresh and no trace of cooked fruit. Very primary mouthfeel and the tannins are very fine but almost imperceptible. Sufficient acidity and finishing grip. Excellent today and approachable but the fruit should mature nicely.
