  • Well-made with flavors of red plum and delicious berry on the palate but a bit too oaky for me.

  • PnP. No detailed notes. Very pleasant. Mix of flavors. A little spice. Drinking well now.

  • Splendid balanced Pinot noir that in style was about halfway between old and new world. Large complex nose - difficult to pinpoint anything specific. Acidity seemed low. The best Oregon red I’ve had in the last few years.

  • Medium red hints of purple. Tart and a bit taught. Some sour cherry a bit of cranberry. A little pepper and heat on finish.

  • A deep ruby red with medium plus optical density and very high reflectivity. The nose is a bit closed at first, but begins to bloom with some time and vigorous swirling, after which is comes alive with cherry, rose hips, and some savory and spicy forest notes that display dark wild berries and fresh earth. On the palate there is good density and weight, with a medium body that still manages to dance in a lively way. Acidity is medium, with melted tannins that have pretty much integrated, leaving a polished, posh texture that is still elegant in the way it supports flavours. The attack shows cherry and black licorice in a delightful tension against the support of some woodsy spices. The midpalate shows a rich array of savory and spicy fruits, with blackberry and cassis alongside dark cherry and alum and anise spices. The finish is quite long and intense, with anise and power keg lingering over warm dark fruits in a pleasant baked shell of spice.

Overall, here is an intense and complex wine that has matured really nicely, providing for a really great experience. Personality and balance are key, with still great power- just in a way that lets the variety and region shine. This is great Pinot Noir, made in a classic styling, with grace and elegance leading the attention to its inner strength. This is my favourite style of wine in general, where the maker has let the vineyard do the work, and has expressed what is there. Really builds and becomes even more beautiful with some time, and just brings so much enjoyment! Really great!
