Lovely wine with a roast chicken. PnP. very well balanced. dry, minerals, interesting and pleasant bitterness works well with food. After an hour started developing rounded bottom that suggests further development likely.
Golden colored. Sea salt aromas, dried honey, some white tea, dried apricot. I like the way this is showing, crisp, nervy acid keeps it balanced, but there’s a lot of dried honey and waxy elements to the mouthfeel. Tangy lime mixes with rich, dried mango and apricot. A saline and honeycomb note lingers with a limestone and seashell note. Generally, these Guigal CDRs are decent, but this is impressive, a testament to the overall quality and cellar potential of 2010 Southern Rhones.
