I liked this, especially for $40 from the bargain bin. Medium bodied, tannins a little grainy, nice dark fruit, and a decently long finish. Has many years to go.

We love the older Miner wines. The more recent ones just don’t seem to be as good as the ones around this vintage. We drank this with a grilled ribeye steak and keto “roasted potatoes” (actually radishes—you need to try this, I swear you would never know they were radishes). This 12 year old is drinking amazingly well and has plenty of life left—I would say another 5 years easy. The wine was deep red, full bodied, complex, well balanced with ample tannins, with an awesome finish. Some dark fruit still remains but transitioning to a more earthy state where the terroir comes through presenting the sought after taste of Stagecoach vineyard. This one is special and worthy of a special occasion wine well beyond its cost.

Decanted for 1.5 hours. Very dark in color, restrained aromatics. Quite soft and round on the front palate, finishing with a bit of heat from the alcohol. Red and black fruits (raspberry/strawberry) seem mature, with soft tannins - quite an easy drinker. Given where it is at now, don't think this will continue to improve with more cellaring.

Stunning cab. Structure and balance completely in tact. Fruit forward with boysenberry notes and lush finish. Tasted great with filet mignon.

This is aging well, though still youthful fruit after 9 years. Tannins are starting to integrate. Give this 3 to 5 more years.
