From 750, served with lemon tart which was a great match. This bottle was rockin’, nicely balanced sweet quince and candied orange peel with a long finish. Still seems young at 14 years with very limited tertiary development, but would guess 375s more aged at this stage. Not the greatest sweet wine I’ve had but excellent value for this Barsac. 93+

Similar to the last bottle which was recently tasted.
Very rich and honeyed with flavours of boiled sweets and barley sugar, almonds and spice. I couldn’t detect any botrytis and although it didn’t cloy it could do with a touch more complexity and freshness. CHP 90 pts

A rich and unctuous combination of honey, grilled almonds, barley sugar and spice. Drinking well, I’d would have liked a touch more acidity and a bit of botrytis to give added complexity, but that said, the wine never cloyed and offered a great amount of pleasure. CHP 90 pts
