Clean, fresh and none of that trademark "cat's pee" odor. Very little nose going on here. Notes of tropical fruits, honey & wildflowers. Not much in the way of grapefruit. Quick finish. An ideal wine for a warm summer's day on the patio.

I agree that this wine's profile is more like a kiwi sauv b. especially in its tropical flavors profile and nice lack of noticable oak (yeah, it's in there, but it doesn't show itself much at all) and stronger acids. I especially like the sweeter yet not syrupy sugars. Had it with some pasta and white clam sauce and it melded nicely with the sea/spice flavors of the sauce. I think that this wine would be an excellent one for sipping with cheese and fruits on a long summer's evening.

You can't help but like this wine. Another soft, easy drinking Sauvignon Blanc from California. The winemaker notes state that all the grapes were whole cluster pressed. This explains the relative lack of some of those non fruit flavors of grass and "eau de gato" as the skins if broken at all, certainly were not crushed. They also state that a small percentage was placed in oak barrels with plenty of lees stirring. Some lees treatment seems to be standard operating procedure for white wines these days. So we have a reasonably heavy mouth feel. Pretty clear color. Honey and floral accents on the nose. The tropical fruit flavors are quite soft, with some grapefruit and honeysuckle. It lacks a little crispness. The acid snuck up on me at the very end of the palate, not totally integrated, which leads me to believe it came out of a 50# bag. This style is very appealing, and they priced it well. This would be a world class pool wine.
