  • A bottle we had 12 month’s ago was in better nick although this was still pleasant. On there nose there was some coffee, sweet earth and sous bois. It had a little musty cellar stink that disappeared with air and the aroma got quite smoky in the glass. In the mouth it is sweet and vinous with some teak and mushroom savouriness. It is just drying off a bit on the finish with some bitter nut and fruit rind notes.

  • Carefully carried back from Burgundy recently, this bottle is humming. There are no notes of oxidation and it has great smoky lift on the nose coupled with sous bois and soy notes. In the mouth it is sweet and vinous with a silky texture and good intensity. It finishes long with sweet earth.
