  • (13.3%) 40% Viognier, 30% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne – Ah, yes much more like I remember as the oak (75% new) is present but not overbearing (though I’d love to see a totally clean version!). Fresh and refreshing across the palate framed by lush, round, peach notes but held in balance by a nice spiced, minerality. A whole lot of working parts putting on a good show. Nice structure and depth here. At $20 it is fairly priced and fairly(+) enjoyable…

  • A nice, well crafted wine but not quite doing it for me. don't know if I don't care for Viognier or what, but every single wine dominated by Viognier I have had int he past 2 years has impressed me.

This has an appealing fruity/floral nose but on the palate there is this waxyness with underlying new oak that is a turnoff for me. A slight mineral tinge to the midpalate and finish that I like a lot but not enough to say that I love it. I may be wrong, but seems a bit heavy handed in the winery to me, which is suprising comming from a biodynamic establishment. I'm glad I experienced it but won't be jumping for more. Natural cork; 13.3% abv.

  • Really enjoyed this at the winery. Enough so to buy a couple bottles at $20+. This is the first of them so didn't take formal notes but while very nice the new oak was a little much for me and certainly impacted my assessment of this wine...

  • Cowhorn nails it again. I would consider less new oak, but the wine is brilliant nonetheless.
The nose is stunning : honeysuckle, star fruit , white peach, wet stone. Surprisingly the Viognier doesn't
In the mouth: after some air a lanolin quality comes out. All around fresh, vibrant; stone fruits, amazing viscosity. Complexity is enhanced over time as it opens. Great mouth watering acidity on finish. Bravo. P
