Very good, 12% alc. Colour: slightly cloudy red berry Bouquet: red fruits, cherries, smokey, bacon, slightly aged character Palate: as bouquet, quite full bodied, but still silky, limestone minerality, good acid and clean finish. Quite chewy, classy wine, good with food. February 2016

An expressive, extracted, perfumed and almost sweet, mixed fruit nose. Extracted red cherry and rose pedal that builds on the finish. This is very primal with just a bit of limestone like mine reality on the finish. Pleasant to drink now it will improve a bit with age, but I'm a little concerned about the acidity.

(Justina's bday in the Southern Highlands) A medium bodied wine on the lighter side, glowing ruby in the glass. Nose of dusty berries (raspberry) and even some cocoa powder. Interesting "hollow" fruit and soft berries on tasting, with light but firm tannins, showing minty spice on the finish, along with clay-ey earth. A youthful, simple wine with good acidity and structure that paired very well with our caramelized pork belly (yum!) and our deconstructed morrocan 'gozleme'.

Drank with my colleagues at my work holiday party. This is a crowd-pleaser, with medium body, plush tannins and soft cherry fruit, accented by some loam and dust flavors. Fresh, balanced, easy-drinking.

Wines with Val's Parents; 11/19/2011-11/25/2011 (Washington, D.C.): A solid beaujolais from a very reliable producer. Smooth red plums, cherries and a bit of dusty earth. Very balanced and easy to drink.
