  • Medium ruby with orangey rim. Cherries in the nose along with sweet spicey and some cedar and herbal notes. The fruit is a bit at the backstage in the palate with the acidity and a relatively firm tannic structure taking over. A bit thin on the fruit side in the mid palate. Medium finish with a slight bitterness. With just a bit more fruit it would be an excellent wine and a quite good value.

  • Easy drinking, but certainly of lighter body and finish. Went well with oven roast veg. and pork, but would be too light for any BBQ type food.

  • A bit thin, but good typicity, and fit the bill alongside salumi misto on a summer evening.

  • This is the 1st time when I taste a Dolcetto at the right age. The other what I tried was too old. The result is much more satisfying. Pale ruby colored. Aromas of red cherry, cherry bon-bon, little medicine, sweet spices. On the palate dry, good acidity, low tannin, light body, medium flavor intensity and length, moderate alcohol. Tastes a type of red cherry what we call back in home gypsy cherry with little berries and never too sweet flavors, red currant, water melon candy. Nice and fresh.
