Black-tinted ruby. Rose hips and pomegranate, spice, vanilla, orange peel. Tart but intense flavors, like a pomegranate wine might taste. Very long finish. I suspect that this will improve even more, but a great success for Oregon. Call it 93+
Pale-mid ruby. Delicious smelling nose of ripe strawberry, red cherry and slight brambly green edge. Sweet ripe red fruit countered well by gamey savoury aspects. Excellent silky yet structured tannins. Clean lingering finish. Genuine flavours and elegance with balance and structure. Having said all of that, it lacked a ‘wow factor’. No crime to drink now, but this should cellar well. (92 Very good wine)
