Decanted and began drinking immediately. Initially muted, but opening up nicely within 30 minutes or so; best after two hours. Aromatic, attractive; spicy red fruit, dried flowers/scrub/dried herbs/black tea, light dry earth. Quite mild Brett in this bottle, not a problem. Weightless/ethereal, delicious, extremely drinkable. At the same time, seems likely plateaued; consistent with previous notes even from five years ago; no compelling reason not to drink now.

90/91/92. Perfectly integrated brett, if one can say that. No band-aid, no barnyard, just spices and cloves. Detected no pyrazines, and no vegetal notes. Some earth, but no poopy earth. Muted red berries, some floral notes, some forest floor. Really gorgeous two hours in.

This bottle is even fresher and perkier than the one I had 16 months ago, though again, it required air to show it. A unique amalgam of fresh berries and porcini tea, not complex but nicely structured, particularly by its acidity. An impressive showing from a hot vintage.

This is really drinking well. Open, expressive. Hard to believe this is from the 2003 year of the sun as there is little roasted or over ripe flavors, but it is very much Chinon. I didn't get any pyrazine or green pepper from this, maybe that is a character of the warm year.
