Deep ruby. Pronounced aromas of mulberries and blackberries, coffee, chocolate. On the palate a full bodied dry wine with medium acidity and medium plus finely integrated soft tannins. Flavors of blackberry jam, raisins, black cherries, some chocolate. Medium plus finish.

Consumed over 2 days, note from day 2. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, violets, smoke, and grape jolly ranchers. Palate: Medium-full bodied, smokey blueberry component with some spice and earthiness, not real complex - but what it does show is all good, holds up well from front to back - though depth is definitely lacking here. Finish: Medium length sense of spicy dark fruit and earth.
I've had the 09 Valentin Sensual Malbec which I rated 2+ points higher than the average CT review and I'm doing it again with this offering - not saying I'm in love with this, but I obviously enjoy it more than the average CT user.

Subtle Malbec, hints of blueberry, toast, blackberry. Elegant, but not bold. drink now, doubt it will improve with age.

Started out with this wine while making paella and figured it would be a nice gateway wine for the meal. It's not a "punch you in the face" Cabernet.
