Decanted for 30mins before the first sip. Nice nose, lots of red fruits, pleasant aromas. The wine is subtle and balanced. Opened more after and hour. remained delicate and subtle.I think its drinking just fine right now. Felt right to drink something French this week.
A good easy drinking bordeaux without breaking the bank. There are some bordeaux subtlies for a low priced bordeaux. But I rather spend abit more and go for cambon la pelouse, lanessan, lilian ladouys, poloumey, teyssier, croix figeac, gironville, fourcas dupre etc. Low tannins and low acid, probably best to drink soon. Probably drank better last year. I got 4 more bottles. It will be drunk this year.
Really enjoyable, great QPR Bordeaux. Opened up nicely after a few hours in the decanter. Nice and funky on the nose after being closed on opening. Leather and meaty, great mouth feel with pleasant grippy tannins and a nice medium finish. Decent fruit as well. Better than I expected it to be, will definitely buy more.
Fragrant bouquet of violets, red fruits, dark berries, and minerality. Highly approachable and delightfully mouthwatering palate. Very good acid, but fairly low tannin. Delightful taste profile, goes down easy, but lacks the depth common to this exceptional vintage. The finish leaves something to be desired. 88-89.
