  One of the nicest Cali Pinots I've had in a while. Elegant, refined blackberry, white pepper, and cherry aromas and flavors, with a spicy clove finish. Very nice texture, silky rather than satiny, and the fruit and spice are in perfect balance. Good acidity. Nice food wine.

  drank with our homemade wood smoked duck breast. Took an hour+ to mellow the acidity and spicy tight fruit. It did mellow some, nicely revealing a strong rasberry and vanilla aroma, maintaining a sweetness with a medium finish of fruit and sage and tobacco. I will try another next year.

  We had this wine with roast chicken tonight. It has an enjoyable palate of raspberries, white pepper and tobacco, and a moderately long finish. Spicy on the nose, too. I would get this wine again.
